during my working years I traveled to 6 continents (some multiple times in various locations) and found my favorite nations were Denmark, Japan, and New Zealand. The modern infrastructure, better quality health care, better quality food and freedoms equal to ours made them all very pleasant. The people of all nations I visited were always open, friendly and helpful. I always felt safe even though I traveled alone (even got in a few " "slums"), I always felt safe, but I will not go alone on many US streets and especially after dark.
